SUMMARY: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announces the availability of the Record of Decision (ROD)/Approved Resource Management Plan (RMP) for the Carrizo Plain National Monument (CPNM), located in San Luis Obispo and Kern counties in Central California. The California State Director signed the ROD on April 10, 2010, which constitutes the final decision of the BLM and makes the Approved RMP effective immediately.

SUMMARY: In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has prepared a Draft Recreation Area Management Plan (RAMP)/Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area (ISDRA) and associated plan amendment to the California Desert Conservation Area (CDCA) Plan in Imperial County, California and by this notice is announcing the opening of the comment period.

BLM to Prepare Management Plan for Prehistoric Trackways National Monument

(Jan 7, 2010) - The Bureau of Land Management’s Las Cruces District Office will prepare a Resource Management Plan for the Prehistoric Trackways National Monument that will guide future management of the 5,280-acre area northwest of Las Cruces.

A public scoping process opened today in order to solicit public comments and identify issues (e.g., natural resource and public use issues) anticipated within the Monument, which was created under the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009.

SUMMARY: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announces its intent to revise the 1997 National Programmatic Agreement (PA) with the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) and the National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers (NCSHPO) regarding the manner in which the BLM meets its responsibilities under the National Historic Preservation Act.
