The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), announced a 12-month finding on a petition to list the Mohave ground squirrel (Spermophilus mohavensis) as endangered or threatened under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (Act).





After review of the best available scientific and commercial information, listing the Mohave ground squirrel is not warranted at this time. However, the public may to continue to submit any new information that becomes available concerning the threats to the Mohave ground squirrel or its habitat at any time.
